Raising funds for One Heart for Women and Children

To continue upholding our second pillar of Service, the Kappa Phi Lambda National Alumnae Association has partnered up with an amazing non-profit organization, One Heart for Women and Children, to help them raise funds. In Memory of our sister Sunny Kim *LaROK*

On 2 May 2015, our beloved sister, Sunny Kim 'LaROK' passed from an unjust death from domestic violence. No words can express how much we will miss her. May she rest in peace. In an effort to support her family in their time of grief, Upsilon Chapter sisters from the University at Albany SUNY have set up a gofundme account that will be passed to her family to help with funeral costs.  Every donation will help with their recovery from this tragedy. There has been a tremendous outpouring of support from Kappa Phi Lambda sisters, the Greek community, family, friends, and supporters who did not know Sunny but were moved by Sunny's story.  The gofundme page is still another $17,000 away from the goal of $50,000.  Please continue to pass on her story and consider donating to Sunny's family.
